About us

We are Jocelyn and Jeremy, Tahlia and Emmett, a young family from Tasmania, Australia, embarking on a journey of full-time travel, (first around Australia and then around the world!) leaving behind the 9-5, on a quest for a simpler life, seeking adventure, connection, sustainability, health and true happiness on a tight budget!

The focus of our journey is not so much on the destinations (though we’re excited to see and share some incredible places!), but about slowing down to appreciate the simple joys and connections, the things that come for free, while traveling slowly, exploring deeper and sharing the wonder with our wonderful children, and strengthening our bonds as a family unit – no matter where we are or what we’re doing!
We hope to learn and grow as we go and form connections with the incredible people we meet along the way! We plan on travelling in various ways, including caravaning, tent camping, house-sitting, couch surfing, woofing and workaway, as well as later Air BNBs!

Through sharing our experiences with you, we hope to inspire and encourage you to follow your own dreams, take the leap of faith and get out there and explore the world, in whatever capacity you so desire, weather it be for 2-3 days, weeks, months or years! We hope to help provide you with relevant information, destination ideas, tips, tricks, links to tours and attractions, and highlight and share some of our favourite spots, pictures and stories, handy products, aspects of travel, and some less common ways of doing things that can really make any kind of travel more attainable, accessible and enjoyable for anyone!

We love heading off the beaten track and discovering hidden gems in the path less taken and just being open to the endless opportunities our wonderful world has to offer!

We look forward to hearing from and interacting with you and would be more than happy to answer any questions and help out in any way we can!
We hope you enjoy the journey!

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do, than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
– Mark Twain
